When a common man expresses his desire and wish about a change in the society or its system, it simply falls into deaf ears. But if the same wish comes from a film celebrity then it is certainly considered seriously. And if the celebrity is Kamal Haasan then the seriousness is more.
Recently, the Universal Star became a member of the censor board revision committee and his first suggestion has been to scrap the censor board once and for all. Reports say Kamal is saying censor board is not required because censor is an ugly word in democracy.
Those who heard this are a little taken aback and saying “Even with the presence of censor board itself, many hot and adult content films are coming. Take for example the Bollywood flick Ishq Junoon whose posters itself show the extremity of vulgarity. Given that, what would be the situation if the censor board is not there.” What say Kamal?
