It is a common phenomenon to draw comparisons between films when they are on a success spree but then it should also be done with certain parameters. The reason for this discussion is after the news making rounds about a comparison between a blockbuster of today’s time and a film that came many decades ago.
We are talking about the Hollywood flicks Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Titanic respectively. News is coming up citing Star Wars has touched Titanic’s collections and soon it will take over as well. But how far is this comparison reasonable?
Titanic came way back in the year 1997 and Star Wars has released in 2015. Given the years that have flown by and considering factors such as inflation, ticket price of today, by no means is this comparison sounding reasonable. Let us hope some better parameters come in.
