Bangalore Naatkal is the official remake of Malayalam super hit move Bangalore Days that was directed by Bommarillu movie fame Bhaskar.
Well this movie that hit the screens on Feb 5 unfortunately failed to bag positive response. The major complaint is that this remake lacked the soul of the Malayalam original and miscasting also impacted it.
Some of them opined that Bhaskar tried to make the screenplay even tighter by trimming 15 minutes from the original. Despite his efforts, this film missed the bull's eye and proved the popular belief that films like Bangalore Days shouldn't be remade.
Bangalore Days is a popular film amongst Tamil & Telugu youth as well population. Now with this remake version (Bangalore Naatikal) bagging bitter lips, audience are preferring the Malayalam original.
This is indeed bitter news for PVP Cinemas (producers of Bangalore Naatkal). The fate of this film is also sending an alarm to makers of Premam remake as well. Lets us wait and see.
