Don’t be alarmed reading the headline because it is known news that mega powerstar Ram Charan is doing his next based on the Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan. This would be directed by the action man Surendar Reddy. However, there is also an element of truth in the headline.
According to reports, the remake of Thani Oruvan was scheduled to take place in Bollywood with mighty heart Salman Khan reprising the role of Jayam Ravi as Mithran. However, it is now heard that Salman is finding the role may not really befit his image which is more of an entertainer.
For that matter, even the director of the original Mohan Raja has reportedly stated that the process of finalizing the remake in Hindi is taking a very long time and he already has two scripts ready with him. So, the Mumbai sources are saying the remake of this is as good as shelved.
