But guess what Nagarjuna’s Soggade Chinni Nayana was initially planned with Chiranjeevi, according to inside sources. Going into the details, Soggade director Kalyana Krishna is a big fan of Chiranjeevi and he planned Soggade script with Chiranjeevi. However, the film eventually materialized with King Nagarjuna which finally emerged to be the biggest hit of Sankranthi 2016 collecting more than Rs 50 Cr (gross).
But now the discussion in film circles is that whether Soggade would suit Chiru or not! Bangarraju character became super hit in the movie and given Chiranjeevi's calibre and charisma, he would have excelled it too. But given his age, Ramu's character wouldn't have been convincing. Chiru has earlier featured in dual roles (father-son) in films like Sneham Kosam, Andarivaadu etc. On the other hand, Nagarjuna has nailed it like none and proved that it is a tailor-made film for him.
