As it is, the market of Bollywood is so vast and wide that even an average talk movie would get into success zone if promoted well. And if the project involves a big star then the expectations and collections touch high if content is good. Recently, one Bollywood movie hit the marquee.
It is Airlift featuring charming star Akshay Kumar and highly talented Nimrat Kaur. The film revolves around history’s largest evacuation operation which took place in the 90s when Iraq occupied Kuwait. The hero behind the real operation was Sunil Matthew.
Akshay reprised that role and the film opened to a thundering response. At the end of the first week, the film has grossed Rs 112.14 crores in domestic market while the first weekend overseas fetched a cool 7 crores plus approximately. The film is racing towards a blockbuster very soon.
