The best way to estimate the strength and presence of the Telugu NRIs in the USA is by looking at the number of organizations which have formed over the years. Notable among them are NATS (North American Telugu Society) and TANA (Telugu Association of North America).
Over the years, these organizations have been conducting gatherings and usually the events for both NATS and TANA happen the same time. As a result, the Tollywood celebrities get distributed and many of them get chance. That way, there is not much competition in the film fraternity.
At the same time, there is no pressure on the organizers as well. But now, the pressure will fall on NATA (North American Telugu Association) which is gearing up for its gathering. Since there is only one event a lot of lobbying and pressure is being seen. This is going to happen in Dallas so a lot of crazy demand is there.
