The demise of composer Devi Sri Prasad’s father Satyamurthy was one of the biggest tragedies last year and the ever energetic DSP was terribly shaken by the incident. Nevertheless, he took work as worship and completed the re-recording formalities for Sukumar’s Nannaku Prematho.
He also composed a memorable song in memory of his Dad and it became an emotional ride. DSP along with his brother Sagar took the holy ashes of their father to Rajahmundry to unite them in River Godavari. DSP spoke to the media after the ceremony saying that his Dad was quite fond of their native place Vedurupaka and constructed a house in memory of his grandparents named Suryodayam- which coincides with their names Suryanarayana and Udayabhasakara.
