The business of cinema has become so stringent that life has become very tough for the medium and small budget producers. This is because many TV channels have stopped buying satellite rights for a price. At a time like this, one film is expected to fetch a whopping 6 crores for satellite.
We are talking about the movie Killing Veerappan which is helmed by the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma. The film came in Telugu in dubbed version but it has got a great response. Now, the talk is that the Gemini TV is likely to take the movie’s satellite rights for Kannada, Tamil and Telugu versions.
For this, the TV channel is expected to pay around 6 crores. Though nothing has been signed, the talk is that discussions are reaching the final stage and it is only a matter of time before the dotted line would be signed. If that happens it would be a wonderful comeback for Ram Gopal Varma.
