Once you get stuck in a traffic jam the first thing that happens is the mileage of your vehicle comes down. Added to that, you have the headache of pollution, noise and what not. But if you choose the right time to start then your journey goes smooth. The same logic applies to the release of films too.
The biggest lesson for Tollywood at the start of this year is the Sankranthi race. Unmindful of the practical consequences, three big films clashed against each other at the box office. As expected, their gross collections at the end of the first weekend are significantly below the anticipated figure.
At the same time, all the three movies have appreciable content and despite that, they are unable to take mileage out of it owing to the traffic jam of releases. Sometimes, egos and emotions need to be kept aside and if only the films released with decent gap, the entire dynamics of Tollywood economy would have been different.
