The cute looking girl Baby Shamili from Mani Ratnam’s Anjali became an overnight kid sensation of the late 80s and 90s era in South Indian Cinema. She was a first hand choice for any child role and she shared screen space with almost all star heroes such as Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Tamil heroes as well.
Some directors even penned scripts exclusively on characters whch suited her. As time passed by, Shamili was introduced as full time actress with chocolate boy Siddarth in Anand Ranga’s Oy which released in 2009. Though her acting skills were appreciated in this film, there were comments that she looked quite older than her age and sadly she couldn’t get more opportunities after the film.

Shamili left for higher studies after that and now she is going to act in a Tamil film opposite talent actor Dhanush in a project called Kozhi. She will also be seen opposite Vikram Prabhu in Veera Sivaji as well.
