You would have noticed how in the recent past star writer Kona Venkat has become the go-to man not just for the industry biggies but also became an inspiration for aspirants. In this process, Kona has also given break to quite a few talented individuals. Here is an interesting story about one actor and his relation with Kona.
His name is Gazi and he made his debut with the movie Sankarabharanam in the role of Salim Bhai. Gazi was born in Kashmir valley and till he reached 20 he never saw a movie or never went to theatre. Later, he came to Bangalore for livelihood then he saw movie for the first time in 20 years.
This is indeed a big surprise. Anyhow, his looks impressed many and he started doing ramp walk with the likes of Aishwarya Rai, Bipasha Basu and others. The photos of Gazi came to Kona and he decided to use him for Salim bhai’s character in Sankarabharanam. Sources say Kona was told that Gazi is a zero in acting.
Despite that, Kona insisted to get Gazi and he took the help of Bikshu who is a Telugu acting guru. Gazi got trained there and he rocked in the role. Now, while going for cinema promotions all are flocking towards him calling him Salim bhai. Overwhelmed by this, Gazi got a lifesize photo of Kona and packed to his home. He told his parents to kept it at his home as he considers Kona his Godfather and Guru who gave him a new lease of life and fame.
