Many times a discussion keeps happening as to why the big film stars are paid heavy remunerations for movies and brand endorsements. This is because they carry a certain brand value which attracts the end user to follow.
This is more applicable for movies which rely heavily on star power. The latest example to quote in this aspect is Bollywood’s mighty heart Salman Khan. Recently, he came up with the movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo helmed by Sooraj Barjatya.
Right from the first day, the film had got a negative talk and didn’t have a future. But everything changed due to one reason, the hero. The presence of Salman triggered the collections in a big way and it has touched Rs 200 crores plus. That’s what we call star power!
