As a true artist, your real sense of happiness comes when your work is appreciated and you get the due recognition in terms of awards and felicitations. The Indian government has been recognizing such icons and honoring them with titles. The greatest among them is the Dadasaheb Phalke award.
In Tollywood, the legendary ANR got it and now there are reports that the iconic singer P Susheela should be in contention list. As such, the nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar got her Dadasaheb Phalke in the year 1989 and later on, she also got the country’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna.
When you compare, even P Susheela has sung more than forty thousand songs and won many national awards. Even Lata has same profile. But so far, P Susheela has not received anything yet.
