One such serial which made a high impact on small screen is Savitri which recently completed 2000 episodes. This serial airs on ETV- one of the pioneer media channels in Telugu. On the eve of completing 2000 grand episodes, the unit of Savitri planned to celebrate in a unique manner by donating Rs.1 Lakh for cancer patients. They have donated their one day’s remuneration to Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital by meeting Nandamuri Balakrishna and expressing their concern towards this issue.
