Watching a murder happening onscreen is something different and watching or reading about it happening in real life is something entirely different. The real life murders always leave a lasting impact on the people and currently the people of Chittoor and its surroundings are in a state of shock.
The Mayor of the city Anuradha along with her husband Katari Mohan were killed in broad daylight by a gang of unidentified people. Witnesses reveal they came in Burkhas and speculation is that they got this idea from a movie. This is Rakta Charitra helmed by the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma.
Apparently, even the dreaded factionist Obul Reddy was murdered originally in the same way and RGV showed it in Rakta Charitra. But some of them are now holding a discussion that the same ‘Burkha’ concept scene was the inspiration for the killers of the Chittoor mayor and her husband. Wonder what RGV has to say to this.
