Nowhere in your wildest imagination would you have thought that the Telugu magnum opus Baahubali would end up pushing aside all the Bollywood biggies and sit on the number one position as the highest grosser in Indian cinema. But it has happened and many felt it would take a while to beat it.
However, a new talk is currently emerging from Mumbai citing that one latest release may just get past Baahubali. The film in discussion is Prem Ratan Dhan Payo starring mighty heart Salman Khan and the fashionista Sonam Kapoor. The film has already touched 250 crores worldwide gross.
As such Baahubali has crossed the 500 crores mark in gross collections and it is yet to be released in countries like China and Latin America. Meanwhile, the openings for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo have been great but the talk has been very weak. So, the chances are that the collections might take a dip this week and touching Baahubali may not happen. Let us see what happens.
