It is quite common to draw comparisons between two movies which come with the same flavor and release around the same period. Taking a closer look, it has more to do with the comparison between the two directors of those projects. Recently, such comparison took place between Rajamouli and Gunasekhar.
This is due to their movies and while Rajamouli has surely emerged as the winner, it appears that Gunasekhar has got the last laugh. From a long time, many are thinking only Rajamouli is the right person to do a movie on Mahabharata backdrop. But here is something interesting.
Reports reveal Gunasekhar has silently gone ahead and registered a title by the name Veerabhimanyu at film chamber. A movie came in 1965 with the same title with the iconic Sobhan Babu doing the title role. It remains to be seen whether Gunasekhar is attempting yet another historical or commercial but if it is the former then many feel he has beaten Rajamouli.
