Just few months ago, the glitzy world of Tollywood was in high tension about who among the main contenders namely Rajendra Prasad or Jayasudha would win the MAA elections. There was lot of drama, strong statements and emotional roller coaster which as associated to this event. Now, a similar set of events were repeating in the neighboring film industry- Kollywood!
The main contenders in the Kollywood arena for Nadigar Sangham elections were none other than yesteryear hero Sarath Kumar and brilliantly talented actor Nazzar. The latter has the support of action hero Vishal and there were many angry exchanges between him and Sarath Kumar over the media. Even during the elections,Vishal was attacked by Sarath Kumar's followers and things turned serious. However, the filmy political drama came to an end with Vishal’s team clean sweeping Sarath Kumar’s team!
Sources say that Nazzar won over Sarath Kumar over a difference of 100 votes. Vishal won over his contender Radha Ravi over 290 votes to become the general secretary. Interestingly, Suriya’s younger brother Karthi won as the treasurer with a whopping difference of 400 votes from his contender SSTR Kannan.
This is a much deserving win for Vishal and co and it is a big reason for their team to celebrate!
