After a marathon of postponements and series of confusions, the magnum opus Rudramadevi finally managed to hit the screens. As expected, the openings were really very high but collections dropped as soon as Monday set in. While this has been the case with Tollywood, here is a look from neighbourhood.
Reports from Chennai and different parts of Tamil Nadu reveal the crowds went into the theatres with very positive expectations but in vain. The first drawback is being pointed towards maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s opera style of music in Background which was nowhere in sync with the scenes.
The second blow has come due to dialogues. They felt the lines came across like a spoof and missed nativity completely. Another reason being cited is, the unbelievability quotient has been high in terms of the graphics and action sequences. As such, there is no point comparing with Baahubali but it is inevitable. Overall, the talk from Tamil Nadu has been disappointing.
