This is the reason why many had a surprise when an iconic Brazilian writer had some great things to say about our Indian star.
He is none other than Paulo Coelho and the star in discussion is Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. Apparently, King Khan had sent few DVDs of his movies (with subtitles) to Paulo Coelho as a gift. It is heard that after a lot of thinking, Paulo Coelho ended up watching My Name Is Khan which released in 2008.
Within no time, he was quick to respond that SRK deserved an Oscar for his performance in the movie and quipped if Hollywood was not manipulated. Whether SRK gets an Oscar or not, these words coming from someone like Paulo Coelho’s stature is indeed a matter of pride and delight!
