The most awaited debut of this season in Tollywood is that of Akhil Akkineni. The recently held audio release function witnessed the who’s who of the Indian film fraternity wishing and blessing Akhil and his film. And proud father Nagarjuna even announced the release date of the film as Oct 22 on the very stage of Akhil audio launch.
But now latest reports reveal that Akhil movie is likely to be postponed. According to the inside sources, distributors of Akhil movie are requesting to postpone as the release date (Oct 22) is very close to the release of big tickets films like Bruce Lee (Oct 16) and Rudhamadevi (Oct 9). The distributors are deeply concerned about the effect of those films on the openings of Akhil.
Nithiin is apparently taking a lot of pressure from the distributors and some of them are even withdrawing from distributing the film if the release isn’t postponed. So the release of Akhil on the promised date is in doldrums and the big decision is still pending. We’ll have more on this as it progresses.
