Shri Edida Nageswar Rao, a veteran producer who has produced many cult classics like Shankarabharanam is no more.

The 81yr old eminent producer has breathed his last at around 5PM this evening in a private hospital in Hyderabad. His body shall be taken to his popular Shakarabharanam Nivasam in Filmnagar Road No.8 by 7AM tomorrow and the last riots will be performed later at the Mahaprasthanam.

In a span between 1979 and 1992, he has produced just around 10 films but every film was indeed a classic. Siri Siri Muvva (1972), Shankarabharanam (1979), Seethakoka Chiluka (1981), Saagara Sangamam (1983), Sitara (1984), Swathimutyam (1986), Swayamkrushi (1987), Aapadbaandhavudu (1992) were few to mention.

The entire film industry is mourning the loss of this elite producer of all time. May his soul rest in peace.
