Cut to the present, the dynamics of film business has changed so drastically that the new figures are raising eyebrows.
According to the latest study by the trade analysts, achieving 50 crores in Tollywood is just a middle range success. They state that if a movie has to be considered a registered blockbuster it has to touch 100 crores. As exaggerated as it may sound, the performances of recent movies has developed this theory strongly.
The magnum opus Baahubali scaled the 500 crores mark without any hiccups and the medium budget flick Bhale Bhale Magadivoy ended up smashing all the records in its segment and set a new benchmark of 50 crores plus total. This is indeed a very prosperous sign for Tollywood and its members.
