As a superstar, you tend to deal with only big money and it is seen more in the projects you do. This is the reason why when a big hero movie is on the anvil, the minimum budget touches around 40 crores. While that is understood, can you imagine a whopping 5 crores being spent just for a story?
Something like that has happened with reports that mega powerstar Ram Charan has given green signal to shell out 5 crores for the remake rights of the Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan. Many are asking why is he giving so much money for a story. Well, there is a business sense behind this decision.
Point is, it is not just story, it is dialogues and screenplay. Usually when a story is finalized 1 crore is paid. The screenplay and dialogues are also chargeable and that is again another 2-3 crores. After everything is finalized during shooting some reshoots and changes happen which is again chargeable. But here, it is just start to stop making. Even director also need not be star range. Since it is only reproducing, even director’s remuneration will also be saved. So, Cherry has saved more than 10 crores through this deal.
