Superstar Mahesh Babu's Srimanthudu and Mass Maharaja Raviteja's Kick 2 are the much anticipated films of this season that entertained masses in their own way. While the movies are continuing their run at the box office and fans fighting over the records, a case has been filed on both the films!
Going into the details, a case has been filed by a RTI activist Rajesh Kumar in Kukatpally Police station Hyderabad alleging that the corresponding film producers of Srimanthudu & Kick 2 have violated Section 38 of Cinematography act. According to Section 38 of Indian Cinematography Act, the film producers must mention the Censor Report of their film in their print and electronic publicity material (like trailers, teasers, promos etc). And Srimanthudu & Kick 2 publicity material failed to carry the censor report, as per the petitioner. The case has been shifted to Miyapur’s 14th Metropalitan court and a special officer was directed to investigate this case.
If the allegations are proved, then the producers will be booked under Section 7 of Cinematography act 1952 and they need to face the legal consequences. Let's wait and see!
