Raavana is one of the greatest anti heroes of the Hindu Epic Ramayana and it wouldn’t be surprising that there are a specialized section of people who find some good aspects in this once-upon-a-time King of Lanka!
Tollywood is of no exception to shower its love for this eternal character Raavana. Right from Sr.NTR and SVR- playing Raavana is a great challenge and something greatly enjoyable for an actor. During the release function of a book titled Asura, King Nagarjuna confessed that he wants to do a folklore film and expressed a particular liking to act as Raavana! The handsome actor also said he felt jealous for not being a part of Baahubali- the biggest historic epic released this year.
In fact, Darsakendrudu K.Raghavendra Rao already has a script with Raavana as a hero and wanted to cast Mohan Babu for the role. Somehow, this project couldn’t move further. Knowing this open confession by Nag, would Raghavendra Rao consider Nagarjuna to play it? This combo already gave some brilliant hits like Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu earlier and have every capability to make a challenging script like Raavana work!
