Two different films…Two different languages… two different stars… two different genres! But still there is heck of a competition and comparison between the two films, especially the box-office performance. Yes… we are talking about Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prabhas’s Baahubali.
As a matter of fact, Baahubali (Jul 10) released a week before Bajrangi (Jul 17) did and in spite of being a dubbed film Baahubali gave a tough fight to Bajrangi. In the course of three weeks, Baahubali emerged to be the most successful dubbing film by reaching the magical milestone Rs 100 crores. However, Salman proved his stamina and Bajrangi has joined the prestigious Rs 500 crore club (WW gross) in just 15 days of its run which is closely followed by Baahubali which is estimated to have collected Rs Rs 480 crores (in just 23 days of its run) and shall zoom into the Rs 500 crore club very soon.
Well the scripts of both the films were scripted by eminent writer Vijayendra Prasad (Rajamouli’s father). So it is a matter of pride both the films are doing extremely well at the box-office! Hail Good cinema!
