Prabhas- this name is reverberating all over India right now. With the Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeting 'Met Baahubali Prabhas today’ the entire world is looking at Prabhas now.
Coming to the news, Prabhas along with Krishnam Raju and his wife met Modi at his residence in New Delhi the other day and urged him to watch Baahubali. Even Forbes magazine has written about Prabhas and this distinguished meeting. While this news brought huge smile on the faces of Prabhas’ fans, some political pundits and industry onlookers are discussing about the political angle behind this meeting.
As we know, Prabhas neither had any political affiliations so far nor did express any such intentions as well. However his father’s brother Krishnam Raju was a parliamentarian for two times and also served as a Minister of State for Ministry of External Affairs from 1999 to 2004. He is in-active (except for the brief association with Chiranjeevi’s PRP party) in politics for about a decade and is a supporter of BJP.
Claiming to be “fans of Modi”, Krishnam Raju and Prabhas along with producer Prasad Devineni met key doyens like PM Modi, Rajnath Singh, LK Advani and others. This meet has evoked a new version that both Krishnam Raju and BJP have vested interests. While BJP is looking to capitalize the craze of Prabhas in strengthening the party in the residual state of AP, Krishnam Raju is looking to bring more mileage to Baahubali and become politically active as well.
However sources close to the actor are denying any such political agendas and want us to view this to be a cordial meet.
