Whenever you go to a theatre to watch a movie there are certain expectations you have. One among them is watching a nice colorful song in a picturesque foreign location. Keeping that in mind, many filmmakers make it a point to shoot songs overseas. These days even some schedules are being shot there.
However, all that fancy foreign shootings have literally come to a close in Tollywood. The filmnagar circles reveal many projects have decided not to have any foreign shoots. It has now become the domain of just the big budget flicks. The small and medium budget movies have almost stopped going abroad.
Only very few movies are going to places like Bangkok because it works cheap and that too only for song shoot with just very minimal team members. All this is part of the cost saving mechanism they have adopted because many films are resulting as cost failures due to overshot budgets. In a way, this would prove useful to the Indian tourist spots because our people will plan their shoots there.
