There is a chance that you would not be surprised when a Telugu film creates new records at Tollywood box office. But it is a matter of great pride and delight when you see that your movie is creating ripples across the box offices of different languages. That phenomenon is happening right now.
The reason for that is the recent release Bahubali. The film has been released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Reports from Bollywood and Kollywood have been very positive and here is something from the Tamil Nadu state. Bahubali is posing a grave threat to the release of two big star movies in Tamil.
Apparently, on July 17th Simbhu and Dhanush are arriving with their respective movies and though they are in demand, the exhibitors in Tamil Nadu are reluctant to remove Bahubali. The Tamil rights were taken by Gnanavel Raja and sources say he is expecting nothing less than 40 Crores for Bahubali in Tamil. The response to the film has been outstanding in Tamil and it has to be seen how things will be on July 17th.
