This is one of the rare weeks that witness the contest of some small budget flicks. Baahubali fever is already on but this week we had no less excitement with films like Superstar Kidnap, Basthi, Seenugadi Love story releasing.
Basthi marks the prestigious debut of Shreyan, the son of senior actor and politician Jayasudha. However, the movie is bagging negative talk and reviews from all over. Jayasudha is a star but Basthi saw nothing that a star scion’s debut is usually privileged of. The film is being termed neither a fitting debut nor a refreshing love story as it is promised to be. Unfortunately, The Bells release went largely unnoticed and Udayanidhi Stalin, Nayantara starrer Seenugaadi Love Story (Tamil dubbing film) also witnessed flat openings (absolutely null promotions give you nothing more!)
On the other hand, Nandu, Bhupal, Aadarsh, Shraddha Das, Vennela Kishore starrer Superstar Kidnap has already the emerged triumphant in this contest for this week. Its unique plot with a key mass pulling factor called ‘Mahesh’, the film is enjoying good occupancy right from the morning show. There is even a growing demand from Superstar Mahesh Babu fans to increase the number of theaters across the two Telugu states. Let’s see how the graph goes for Superstar Kidnap down the lane!
