This evening the prestigious 62nd Filmfare awards were declared at a glittering ceremony in Chennai tonight. The whole South Indian film fraternity (Tollywood, Kollywood,Mollywood & Sandalwood) have graced this gala event and this year we had a tough competition amidst our Telugu films to hold the lovely Black Lady.
But as expected Manam bagged most of the accolades with a total of 5 Filmfare Awards and Stylish star’s Race Gurram is the second best with 3 trophies. While this is perhaps the debut award for super talents like composer Anup Rubens, lyricist Chandrabose and singer Simha (for Cinema Soopistamama, Race Gurram), this is the 3rd Filmfare for Stylish Star Allu Arjun (Vedam & Parugu earlier) and 2nd Filmfare trophy in a row for Manchu Lakshmi (Gundello Godari & now Chandamama Kathalu). Interestingly, Bellamkonda Scion Bellamkonda Sreenivas has bagged the prestigious and much revered Filmfare with his debut film (Alludu Seenu) only. Above all, Samantha has a bigger reason to celebrate because her films Manam, Alludu Seenu, Kaththi (Tamil) bagged trophies tonight.
