When you become a film or sports celebrity more than your actual profession, it is the brand endorsements you do that fetch a lot of money with minimal efforts. It also builds your market value in the industry. In that aspect, many celebrities have been endorsing different forms of products.
While tennis sensation Sania Mirza endorses Hathway, Mahesh Babu endorses Hero bikes and many other products, Allu Arjun is the face for TVS, senior comedian Krishna Bhagawan has been endorsing a company’s cotton seeds. Last but not the least, the likes of S P Balu, K Viswanath and Sirivennela Seetaramasastry are part of few real estate endorsements.
But currently, many celebs have begun fearing these deals. This is after looking at the Maggi episode wherein big guns like Amitabh Bachchan and past endorsers like Madhuri Dixit were also not spared. It is a different thing those claims don’t matter but it sure leads to enough stress and negative light on them.
Due to the Maggi episode, all celebs are getting scared and the public keep playing with celebs due to these things. So, a strong lawyer is required for them while signing the endorsement but the fact remains that though money is good, the risks are also equal.
