Yesteryear novelist turned filmmaker Vamshi is known for his strong female characterizations,unique framing, funky picturization of songs, and witty comedy. He is termed as one of those influential filmmakers in the 80s decade and made his unique mark on Telugu Cinema along with his contemporaries like Jandhyala, Bapu and K.Vishwanath. Despite a long hiatus in filmmaking during the 90s decade, Vamshi began his confident second innings with feel good love story Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru. The film was adored for its simple portrayal of characters, peppy comedy and some brilliant songs.
The latest buzz now is that, this curious director would be seen in a cameo role for his upcoming film named Mellaga Thattindhi Manasu Thalupu! After being a part of film arena for nearly two decades, this reticent director never chose to face the camera.
