The youthful entertainer of the season Andhra Pori has been creating lot of buzz for many reasons. While the main reason is that the film marks the debut of Akash Puri- the son of versatile filmmaker Puri Jagannadh as a big time hero, it has also been racing up with promotions everywhere. The audio of the film was released recently and got some good feedback thereby raising expectations on the film. Andhra Pori is all set to release in the two Telugu states this Friday but alas, the film is apparently stuck in some controversy!
Sources say that some Seemandhra settlers in Hyderabad filed a case in High Court against the film saying that the title is quite objectionable.It is indeed sad to see Cinema becoming a political soft target once again. While the filmmakers are confident that the there is nothing objectionable of that sort and the film has cleared censor formalities as well, we need to wait and see whether the runway is clear for its release.
Let us hope that the film releases as per schedule by overcoming these last minute hurdles. The film stars Ulka Gupta as the female lead opposite Akash Puri and Uttej, Aravind Krishna along with Sreemukhi in pivotal roles.
