This is it! The much awaited verdict of the season is going to be out now. In India, usually film celebrities and influential people in the society get away with the most complicated cases against them but here we have something contrary.
One of the biggest Bollywood Superstars Salman Khan is going to experience something different here. Salman has been finally declared guilty by the Sessions Court in the 13yr old hit and run case.
Going into the details, Salman was convicted in all the cases upon him in the hit and run case where Salman was accused of running over 5 homeless men in the late hours of Sep 8, 2002 and also responsible for killing one person. This case was thoroughly investigated for about 13 long years and the final verdict is out today.
However final verdict declaring the jail term was announced a short while ago. Salman Khan was sentenced to 5years jail and fined up to Rs 25000 in this Hit and Run case. He was taken into custody by the police and shall be taken to Arthur Road Jail, Mumbai.
As it is a jail sentence above 3yrs, Salman cannot get bail immediately but he is still entitled to appeal in higher courts. Meanwhile, Salman Khan was granted with a two day interim bail by the Bombay High Court a short while ago and further hearing was scheduled to this May 8 (Friday).
