There was an element of anticipation in the last few days because the intellectual director Krish was all set to make his debut in Bollywood with the movie Gabbar Is Back. This is the remake of the Telugu movie Tagore and this has the charming star Akshay Kumar and the seductive beauty Shruti Haasan in the lead.
Now, the good news is that Gabbar Is Back has ended up becoming one among the top 5 movies in Akshay’s list of opening day collections. Right on the first day of release, the film has garnered a whopping Rs 13.05 crores and box office reports suggest the collections have been going steady since then.
With this, Gabbar Is Back has got the 4th spot in Akshay’s list and interestingly, the first place belongs to his movie Rowdy Rathore which again is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Vikramarkudu and was directed by our very own Prabhu Deva. This is indeed a moment of pride for Krish.
