If you were to vote for the most sought after aunties in the recent times in Tollywood then the first place will go to Nadiya. While she could not gain much success during her heydays as a heroine, she has actually become a hot property after starting her second innings here.
Her best performance was in the movie Drushyam, the remake of a Malayalam movie with the same title. This has triggered a discussion on why Nadiya was not part of the Tamil version. Apparently, Kamal Haasan is gearing up to arrive with the Tamil version titled as Papanasam.
The role of the lady cop essayed by Nadiya is now being done by Asha Sarath in Tamil. Some are stating they are not sure why Nadiya is missing and actually she should do it because she gave a superb performance. Reports from Chennai reveal Papanasam is being directed by Jeetu Joseph who made the original in Malayalam and in that, Asha essayed the role so he wants her to reprise it in Tamil.
