Gopichand's Jil and Sai Dharam's Rey are the most anticipated commercial entertainers of this weekend. It was indeed a tough choice for an average cinegoer but by the end of the first day, the air got cleared.
Critic reviews mostly favoured Jil rather than Rey. But on the contrary the theatre occupancy was better for Rey than Jil in B,C centres. On the other hand, Jil earned a mild talk of being a stylish film and is relatively doing well in the multiplexes. The general trend of occupancy improved for Jil towards the first show while Rey experienced a dip, according to trade sources.
Rey was made on a budget of above Rs 30 crores while Jil was made around Rs 20 crores, as per sources close to producers. So in terms of budget, given the ongoing collection trend and the fact that S/o Satyamurthy releasing on April 9, both the movies recovering their respective budgets has become a tough row to hoe. Lets wait and see!
