We don’t have to tell you how a cottage industry works but to put it in one line, it is that place where everything happens at the lowest of cost and the least resources and infrastructure. Now, the situation of Tollywood is becoming like that as per few analysts and observers.
It is known that the majority percentage of films happen to be small budget flicks and the way they are being shaped up is raising the speculation. For instance, in bachelor rooms computers are arranged and the CG work and video is being taken care of. For songs, a small mike and Pro Tools are used and song is getting recorded.
There is no need to go to a recording studio. Of course, this is for small movies. It is obvious that without right material in them films don’t release but the making is happening like this. Earlier, outdoor shootings required permission due to cameras and set up but now they are carrying 5D, Go Pro cameras and they will shoot in long shots. For big movies, the paraphernalia is inevitable but for small movies this is the procedure being followed almost like a cottage industry.
