There was a time when all heroes had to do was just be seen onscreen and that would do the magic at the box office. Even the craze and mania for them was high. But today, the whole scenario has changed and even big superstars like Shah Rukh Khan travels to all four corners of India to promote his film.
As part of that, the social media has begun playing a lot of significant role among the heroes and the common people. The question is, what sort of heroes need social media. When you are in peak and in demand, presence in the social media is not required. This goes well with the likes of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, NTR.
But to those heroes who are in the second level, their presence in social media is mandatory or else they would be forgotten. Incidentally, based on what they say, media will get news feeds and it gets printed or written in the web and people take notice. Otherwise there is a threat that people will not remember them. It has become important to give opinions, reactions and statements on issues and other things on the social media. By doing so, the second level actors create a buzz and thereby more visibility and branding.
