There might be those among you who nurture the dreams of becoming a filmmaker and somewhere, it is another filmmaker who has become the source of your inspiration. Usually, it is the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma who has pushed many to take to filmmaking but there is also another iconic filmmaker in that list.
He is none other than Mani Ratnam. Known for his heart squeezing love stories like Geetanjali, Mouna Raagam and others, Mani has been scoring a string of flops recently. But now, all that is likely to change if news about his new project is to be believed. Well, Mani has wrapped up the shooting of a new Tamil movie titled as Okay Kanmani.
The interesting part is, this film is being touted as a sequel to his classic romantic treat Sakhi which came a decade ago. The new movie has Dulquer Salmaan, son of Malayalam megastar Mammootty along with the magnetic face beauty Nithya Menen as the lead pair. While Mani has not confirmed about the news on sequel, as long as he churns out a romantic tale that can touch the hearts of today’s generation, it will bring a lot of cheer to his admirers.
