Gopala Gopala is an upcoming satirical film starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Victory Venkatesh in the lead roles. It is the most anticipated remake of Bollywood hit Oh My God. Music for the film is composed by the melodious Anoop Rubens and here is an exclusive review of the album:
The album begins with Bhaje Bhaje in breathtaking style and vigor. The tune is instantly catchy and lyrics by Anantha Sriram deserve a big mention for sure. The strong rhythm section is supported well by the fun filled tune. Though the track has slight north Indian flavor, it manages to strike the right chord!
Endhuko Endhuko is a musically hilarious take on the superstitions which prevail in our society. It attempts to question the blind beliefs in a fun manner and Kailash Kher makes no mistake in the singing department- as usual. There is a slight folk flavor in the tune which makes it even more enjoyable to hear.
It is time for an emotional solo Needhe Needhe sung by the supremely talented Sonu Nigam and this track has great lyrics as well. In fact, the lyrics as well as the tune go in a perfect balance to create a fantastic track.
The album enters finale with Gopala Gopala (Theme) which is well equipped with flute, electric guitar and neat fusion between traditional as well as contemporary music. The usage of Bhaje Bhaje’s tune in the track is another fun moment in the composition.
Verdict:
Gopala Gopala is a fitting start to the New Year with fun filled as well as thought provoking tracks from Anup and Ananth Sriram. The album doesn’t disappoint for its lively nature and freshness.
