Pataas is an upcoming action entertainer starring Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram and Shruti Sodhi in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by Rowdy fame Sai Karthik. Here is an exclusive audio review of the album:
This interesting album begins with Dhamki Maaro with classical tune blended with contemporary string section. The track is high on energy levels depicting the Hyderabadi culture in terms of music. Tippu does a good job in presenting the track with catchiness. Interludes are well laden with trumpets, live drumming and timely chorus.
Osi Chinnadana is a breezy melody by the talented Rahul Nambiar. The track has an instant likeability factor and straightforward presentation. It doesn’t fall short of the melody factor in any point of the progress. The slight tinge of Telangana accent in the lyrics adds a fun factor as well.
The album goes to a groovy mode with Tappa Tapam possessing gripping rhythm pattern and the massy flavor is evident right from the prelude. It is almost a cakewalk for talented singers like MLR Karthikeyan and Suchitra to pull off this fun filled composition.
Power Unnodu sung by the ever energetic Ranjith paves the way for a fitting finale. The track has thump, good bass work and everything needed for an action filled title song. Sreemani’s lyrics are impactful and create an air of curious interest.
Verdict:
Pataas is a fiery album from Sai Karthik. The power packed compositions outperform the sole melody track. The album would have been more complete with additional tracks.
