‘It is not wisdom but authority that makes a law’- these are the words from the famous Thomas Hobbes and true to that, we have often seen how the legal system ends up putting the righteous ones in trouble. Off late, this has become higher in the entertainment industry and even big stars are no exception.
The latest in that list is two big heroes facing the court of law. They are none other than superstar Rajnikanth and his good buddy Kamal Haasan. Apparently, Rajni is due to arrive with his much talked about movie Lingaa but now one Tamil writer Ravi Ratnam has filed a case alleging the story of Lingaa is his.
The Madras High Court has issued notices to Rajini. As for Kamal Haasan, all of you know the misery he went through during the making of his film Vishwaroopam and now he is going through few hiccups with his current project Paapanasam due to the Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor and her copyright claims over the story. Well, the bottomline is, whenever there is demand for a film, there is bound to be some controversy. That’s how the law is being exploited.
