Plot of Karthikeya runs around a Subramaniapuram temple located near the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu . Due to some unknown reasons the temple gets closed and whoever tries to reopen the temple dies with snake bite. Karthik and Valli played by Nikil-Swathi are medical students who go to Karthikeyapuram on their medical camp and comes across this ominous temple. Nikil who believes in science desires to chase the mystery behind the Subramaniapuram temple along with his friends. What happens in the fight between science and religious beliefs surrounding Karthikeyapuram forms the rest of the story.
Karthikeya trailer was brilliant and grabbed everyone’s attention thereby raising the expectations of the audience. Cinematographer Karthik Ghattamaneni’s fantastic visuals and music director Sekhar Chandra background score in teaser-trailer, and melodious songs give extra push to Karthikeya. Senior actors Tanikella Bharani, Rao Ramesh, Viswanth and Tulasi are seen in pivotal roles in the movie.
Visual effects and computer graphics are considered as one of the USP’s for Karthikeya.
Karthikeya movie runtime is 2 hours 4 minutes with clinching mystery to be unfold. Karthikeya was given ‘U/A’ certificate by the censor board without suggesting any cuts in the movie.
