But the much anticipated Rebel with Rebelstar Prabhas changed the fate of this talented choreographer turned filmmaker. The director who is currently busy wrapping up his upcoming horror comedy Muni 3: Ganga (the 3rd edition in the Muni series) is facing the Rebel heat now.
The director who had a spat with Rebel producers J Bhagvan and J Pulla Rao (Sri Balaji Cine Media banner) regarding a payment due of Rs 5 crores is currently having some legal headaches to bother about. According to latest reports, Rebel producers have filed a cheating case against Raghava Lawrence in Jubilee hills P.S.
According to sources, Lawrence and Rebel was made with a prior understanding, according to which Lawrence has to repay any over budget expenses beyond a budget limit of Rs. 22 crores. And Rebel’s budget is apparently around Rs. 27 crores. The producers have previously sought the help of Telugu film chamber demanding Lawrence to repay the amount and now they seemed to have proceeded legally. Well, it’s now upon the director to face the music!
