The album begins with a groovy number Soodu Soodu with feel good guitar strums and fun filled moments. The song has an instant likeability factor and a relaxing pleasantness is associated with it. Mellowed keyboard touches add much to the overall composition.
Tere Beautiful Aankhen is a mass number with bhangra rhythm section and funky lyrics. The desi flavor is evident throughout the track and Anup makes sure the entertainment factor isn’t lost in terms of orchestration.
It is time for a classical styled melody and rightfully Ninnu Choodagane arrives. Vijay Prakash, who is known for his power packed numbers, sings a laid back melody. Lyrics by Anantha Sriram are poetic and the interludes have a breezy feel associated with it. This track definitely stands out unique in the album!
Pink Lips is a Hip-Hop track with groovy rap and Jaspreet does a good job in making it a foot tapping number. The track is highly trendy and entertaining. The orchestration isn’t overdone anywhere and at the same time leaves an impact.
The album gets the inevitable item song touch with Sur Super which has the typical mass elements in terms of rhythm section and vocals. However, this track doesn’t sound too loud to ears and has been done in a fine manner.
Verdict:
Loukyam is a pleasant album from Anup Roobens. The groovy tracks are well balanced with a beautiful melody and an item number as well. The album looks like the best commercial album in the recent times.
