The business of Cinema has become so unpredictable and precarious that unless the film actually enters the theatres and runs for a day or two, nothing is guaranteed. At times like this, there are those gutsy directors and producers who are ready to make an announcement on the release date even before the film has started its shoot.
You don’t believe us? Then here is a classic example. Director Surender Reddy has joined hands with actor Nandamuri Kalyanram for a new project. The slight twist is, Kalyanram is donning the role of a producer for this film. It is Kick 2 and this has Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja as the protagonist.
Now, the point to note is, the Muhurtham took place yesterday and the team has already announced that the film would release on March 28. Many are amazed at the confidence of Surender Reddy and he seems to have worked out the plan to the detail. Usually, this trait of announcing release date on first day of shoot is seen in director Puri Jagannadh but it looks like even Surendar Reddy is joining that brigade. Hats off!
